How can you make your script as good as possible?
When writing your script we recommend separating your content into multiple paragraphs. To do this just press the Enter key and your script will be moved to a new line. This can also enable you to add pauses for a more natural-sounding speaking voice in your videos.
π‘ Pro tip: Each paragraph has a 900-character or 3000-character limit based on the voice you selected. For breaks, you can also use 0/5 or lower numbers to have a shorter pause.
Emotion
To further improve the audio of your speaking Voice you can add emphasis to words or emotions to paragraphs. Perhaps you need to lighten the mood with a happy voice or be serious or angry.
Emphasis
1. Periods (.) will add a long break and downward inflection; this makes them great for ending scenes or chapters!
2. Commas (,) will add shorter breaks than a period. Use commas when you want to emphasize a specific word or part of the sentence without adding too much length or inflection.
3. Quotation marks ("") will add emphasis to a specific word or part of the sentence. The quotation marks can be used when you want to highlight a specific part of your script.

π‘ Pro tip: If your sentence ends with a number make sure to spell the number out to avoid an upward inflection. 1990 β‘οΈ nineteen ninety
To keep the attention of your viewers it is always great to connect your script to the visuals for a cohesive experience. This improves the viewer's comprehension and increases the retention of information. This can be done in multiple ways. Adding animation markers can be used to mark the points in the script where you want something to appear or disappear from your videos. To add emphasis to the connection you can also add gestures so that your avatar can move and further highlight when visual content is related to what they are speaking about.
β οΈ Gestures are currently not available with all Avatars. Please make sure that the avatar you are using supports them before trying to add gestures.
In some cases, you may have the audio that you want to use for speaking already recorded rather than writing out a script. For this, you can use the Upload audio option.
Narrating with and without Avatar/s
Sometimes the video that you are making is improved by having an avatar speaking, but all videos are not the same. With the options for choosing the speaker, you can decide who, if anyone, speaks for which paragraph in your script.
Voice and Language
The default voice of your draft or an Avatar may not be the voice that you want to use or that best fits the topic of your video. This can easily be changed so that a different voice is used. You can change the voice per paragraph. per scene, or for the whole draft. Please keep in mind that the voice is connected to the person speaking. The person may be an avatar, but it could be the narrator. As such choosing to change the voice for the whole draft, will change the voice in all the places where that particular person is speaking.
If you need to create the same video in a different language you can do so with our Automatic Translation. This will change the voice of your Avatars to better match the different languages that you are translating to.
You can mix languages in a single video or even a single scene. Perhaps you would like to even have the same Avatar speak a different language for a mixed audience.
β οΈUsing the Automatic Translation will create a translated variant of your whole draft and cannot be used for translating individual sections.
Preview
We recommend checking your script to make sure that the Voice will match your expectations before generating a video. For this we have our Preview features. You can preview a section of your script either by using the paragraph preview button, or by selecting the section that you want to hear and previewing only that section.
Uploaded audio will be the same as when you uploaded it, but you can preview this. Often this is useful if you made the recording and now need to make sure that it will fit in your video with the tone and speed of any speaking sections before or after it.
Pronunciation
If you want to change the pronunciation of a particular word without changing how it's written or displayed in subtitles you can use the pronunciation feature. This feature will change how a word is pronounced every time it is written. By selecting a single word you can use the popup menu do start the pronunciation, or by clicking the pronunciation button at the bottom of the script.
With pronunciation you can also set the voice for a particular pronunciation. That voice may be different from the one for the section of script that the chosen word.
Edit with AI
You can use the Edit with AI feature if you need help with your script. Either select a section of text or click the AI Assistant button at the bottom of the Script and start using it.
