🤔 What is a custom Colossyan Lite Avatar?
A Colossyan Lite Avatar is a simpler version of a Colossyan Studio Avatar, which allows you to create a realistic digital version of yourself, which you can use as an AI presenter. The avatar can be used in your Colossyan videos, where it would narrate your text, allowing you to save hundreds of hours by not having to film yourself every single time.
💭 What is the difference between a Lite and a Studio avatar?
With a Lite Avatar, you will get a bubble view avatar and shoulder view with the original background, while a Studio Avatar includes bubble, shoulder and body views and the background is removed. You can find a detailed comparison here, and please check the video below:
🤩 How can I get a Lite Avatar?
Navigate to the Avatars page and click the ➕ plus sign
Using your laptop’s camera, record yourself using the instructions you will see on the Lite Avatar creation screen.
Once you’ve finished creating your footage, it will take around 48 hours for your Lite avatar to be created and added to your Colossyan library.
👨🎤 Who can become a Lite Avatar?
Anyone! It could be yourself or one of your team members, as long as they've given consent, and are willing to record themselves, which can be done at home.
📍Important: Please remember that you need to be at least 18 years old to create a Custom Avatar.
⏰ How long does it take?
The recording will take you around 30 minutes. Once you’re done recording, it will take us around 3 days to prepare your Lite Avatar.
🎥 What do I need in terms of equipment?
You can create your Lite Avatar at home. You will need a computer with a camera and a microphone.
Camera requirements:
Required: 1MP camera, capable of recording at 720p and 30fps
Recommended: 2MP camera, capable of recording at 1080p and 60 fps
📼 Can I upload a video instead of recording with my computer?
No, we cannot create an avatar from an existing recording.
🧑🏻🏫 Is the background removed?
No, the background will be visible in both bubble and shoulder views.
🎙️ Will the custom avatar have my voice?
It's your choice! You can select one of our voices in 70+ languages, or get a free custom voice with any of our annual plans, where we would create a custom digital voice that will resemble your real voice. With our monthly plans, custom voices cost 85 USD per year each.
👨💻 Will anyone else have access to my avatar?
No, your avatar will not be added to the public Colossyan avatar library — it will only be on your account. The avatar won't be shared with members in your workspaces either, it is only available from your own account.
