Paragraphs
We recommend using paragraphs while creating your script. To start a new paragraph, press Enter.
Breaks
You may use the forward slash /
menu to add breaks between any words or sentences. Simply type /
click on Break and select the duration.
βοΈ You can edit the duration of the break by clicking the pencil icon
ποΈ You can delete the break by using the bin icon
π‘ Pro tip: You can add up to 5000 characters to the script per scene with all our paid plans (Starter, Pro and Enterprise). With our free trial, this limit is 1000 characters per scene.
Voice emotions
To make your script more human-like, we recommend using voice emotions. You can filter for voices that support this feature in the voice selector by selecting Other - Voice emotion support.
To add emotions click on the emotion icon in the script editor. To remove the emotion, click the emoji and select Clear emotion. If you need multiple emotions in the same scene, create multiple paragraphs.
Emphasis
1. Periods (.) will add a long break and downward inflection; this makes them great for ending scenes or chapters.
2. Commas (,) will add shorter breaks than a period. Use commas when you want to emphasize a specific word or part of the sentence without adding too much length or inflection.
3. Quotation marks ("") will add emphasis to a specific word or part of the sentence. The quotation marks can be used when you want to highlight a specific part of your script.
π‘ Pro tip: If your sentence ends with a number make sure to spell the number out to avoid an upward inflection. 1990 β‘οΈ nineteen ninety
Animations
Add animation markers to mark the points in the script where you want something to appear or disappear.
To add an animation marker you may use the forward slash /
menu. Type /
click on Animation marker. You can move this marker anywhere in the script. You can delete the animation marker by placing the cursor behind it and pressing the Backspace button.
[BETA] Hand gestures
You can now make your videos more dynamic by adding gestures to your script. This feature is released as BETA
, and currently works for the following avatars:
Isabella
Nina
Owen
Select one of the AI avatars that support gestures
Add the "π" symbol from the bottom script menu to the part of your script where you want your gesture to happen
Make sure there is enough space between each gesture β they can't be too close to one another.
Generate your video
βοΈImportant:
Hand gestures only work for some avatars β as we continue to develop this feature, we'll be adding this capability to more and more avatars
Hand gestures only work in shoulder and bubble views
Hand gestures are not available for custom avatars
Hand gestures are not visible in Preview, only in the generated video

Make sure your audio upload file is in any of the supported languages
Navigate to the Script tab
Select "Upload audio"

The system will automatically identify the language uploaded

Voice and Language
The default language variant is automatically detected as you start typing in the Script editor. To change the voice click on the voice (GB - Bella for example).
If you select the Other - SSML support filter, you'll get results where you can control pitch and speed.
Preview
We recommend checking your script to make sure that the Voice will match your expectations before generating a video. For this we have our Preview features. You can preview a section of your script either by using the paragraph preview button, or by selecting the section that you want to hear and previewing only that section.
Uploaded audio will be the same as when you uploaded it, but you can preview this. Often this is useful if you made the recording and now need to make sure that it will fit in your video with the tone and speed of any speaking sections before or after it.
Pronunciation
With the Pronunciation tool, you can specify how certain words in your script should be pronounced. This includes company names, technical terms, acronyms and any other expression that might be challenging for the AI to pronounce accurately.
Click on Add new word
Specify the Written form - how the expression should appear in your script and subtitles
Add Phonetic spelling - how the word should be pronounced
Select the voice that you would like to use
Listen to the pronunciation with the Play βΆοΈ button.
Click Save to save your changes
Edit with AI
You can use the Edit with AI feature if you need help with your script. Either select a section of text or click the AI Assistant button at the bottom of the Script and start using it.
